I’m SO excited for today’s guest; Academy Award Nominated Producer; DAVID VALDES.

He’s best known for his producing/UPM/ & AD work on “THE GREEN MILE”, “UNFORGIVEN”, “IN THE LINE OF FIRE”, “PALE RIDER”, “THE BOOK OF ELI”, “GARDENS OF STONE”, “THE OUTSIDERS”, “RUMBLE FISH” and Jame’s Cameron’s upcoming “AVATAR” sequels!

But today, we’re talking about his most recently produced film; “ALITA BATTLE ANGEL” (2019).

If you haven’t read my review for “Alita Battle Angel” (2019), check out the link below! It also tells the story of how I initially met and got to work with David Valdes through my dad, Ted Gall (@tedgallsculpture / www.TheodoreGall.com), who made a sculpture for him based on Clint Eastwood’s “Unforgiven” film David produced (edited by Ryan A. Nichols).

I reached out to David in light of the recent resurgent of love for “Alita Battle Angel” (2019) through the growing movement called the #AlitaArmy to see if he’d be willing to talk to me about the MAKING OF THE FILM, WHAT IT WAS LIKE FOR HIM, and HIS THOUGHTS ON A SEQUEL and HOW THE #AlitaArmy CAN HELP.

David was more than kind and gave me an incredible look into HOW “Alita” BEGAN, what it was like WORKING WITH DIRECTOR ROBERT RODRIGUEZ and PRODUCER JAMES CAMERON, FILMMAKING ADVICE, AVATAR SEQUELS, and HIS THOUGHTS ON THE FUTURE OF CINEMA as well as ALITA BATTLE ANGEL’s.

David, thank you so much for your time, your support and for your incredible contribution to cinema. It was such an honor! Wishing you all the best on AVATAR! Hope to talk to you soon!

And if you haven’t already, check out “ALITA BATTLE ANGEL” (2019). We want that #AlitaSequel !!!
