Despite his devotion to his hometown of Salem (and its Halloween celebration), Hubie Dubois is a figure of mockery for kids and adults alike. But this year, something is going bump in the night, and it's up to Hubie to save Halloween.

You might like this if you like: Adam Sandler('s work), comedies, goofy comedies, Julie Bowen, Kenan Thompson, "Saturday Night Live", Steve Buscemi, Noah Schnapp, Netflix's "Stranger Things" but funny, "The Watch" (2012)

Out of the blue I get this brand new Adam Sandler movie? Just in time for Halloween? It seems too perfect!

It felt like only yesterday the trailer dropped. My childhood came racing before me and seeing Adam Sandler doing silly voices again was everything I needed.

Without spoiling there’s plenty of great cameos ranging from the classic gang, modern comedy greats as well as some new faces. Felt like the whole cast just wanted to be in an Adam Sandler movie (in the best way possibly). We get the lovely Julie Brown (“Modern Family”), Steve Buscemi and my personal "Saturday Night Live" favorite; Kenan Thompson.

It’s the perfect new movie that ramps you up for Halloween that gives you all the familiar feelings with a fresh breath of air. It made me realize I’d never quite seen Adam Sandler in a horror comedy. Remembering the last time we saw him was in “Uncut Gems” (2019) gave me even more appreciate for “Hubie Halloween” (2020) knowing that Sandler was able to go back to his roots as well as make new and unfamiliar content.

You get the music, the costumes, the decorations and you better get yourself a candy bar or two! It’s a wonderful blend of thrills, suspense, action, comedy and Adam Sandler! A new rewatch favorite for the holidays!

CGC Grading: Gem Mint 10.0

"A pleasant throwback to a simpler time when an SNL star with a rubber face and an awkward burble could make us laugh harder than just about anyone else on the planet." - Sonny Bunch, The Bulwark

"Hubie Halloween works as a humorous and warmly-nostalgic entry in the Happy Madison catalog." - Matt Conway, Battle Royale With Cheese

"Adam Sandler is more charming here than you might expect. In fact, Hubie Halloween has a surprising amount of sweetness to it." - Joey Magidson, Hollywood News

"If you're not already a Sandler fan you'll probably quickly tire of his antics, but for the fans Hubie Halloween is another slice of affectionate silliness..." - Hannah Woodhead, Little White Lies
