One of my favorite shoots on “Kiss the Ground”. Worked on this movie from 2015-2018. This was the second time the film crew had been up to visit the Markegard family but this was my first. It was just me (acting as temp director/production coordinator) and Simon Balderas (@wondermouseinc) as cinematographer.
One of the most gorgeous places to be... Half Moon Bay. I felt like I had walked into another world. One that certainly felt more connected to the earth, nature and the past. I had the pleasure of getting to know and learn from an incredible family who were incorporating regenerative agriculture into their land. We got to explore their beautiful property of over 8,000 acres and see how they lived and worked WITH nature.
Some of the sweetest people on top of all the incredible things they’ve been doing. Their hospitality and kindness was more than I knew what to do with.
