Trans actress Juliana Joel made Disney Channel history on “Raven’s Home” by debuting her character Nikki, who is the network’s first-ever trans character.
Juliana plays a recurring character who serves as the assistant to Raven, the show’s titular character. Juliana is openly trans and an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community.
It’s yet one more positive step for #LGBTQIA+ inclusion on television.
